PROJECT FR

About
Project FR is a social app and professional tool designed for the film and television industry. It functions like a visual resume while bringing the public into the process of filmmaking in a structured and respectful way.

The platform creates a space where contributions across every department are visible, allowing audiences to better understand the work behind the movies and shows they love.

Tiara Johnny
Actor & Entrepreneur
Founder of Project FR
The film industry is more connected than ever, with hundreds of thousands of professionals working worldwide. However, there is still no dedicated space designed for us to share the collaborative and visual nature of our craft without distractions. That is why I created Project FR. As an actor, I imagined a space where professionals could share their craft in one place, separate from personal updates, and where we could easily see what our peers are creating. I wanted a platform where everything on my profile reflected my career and everything on my feed reflected my industry. Project FR takes what many creatives are already doing on social media, posting about projects, behind the scenes shots, milestones, and gives it a platform with features built specifically for the film industry. It's a place where content posted becomes part of a living career archive, like a visual résumé, where filmmaking is appreciated not only as a finished product but as a process.
For the past decade, Tiara has worked across the film industry, beginning in casting and production before transitioning into acting. Appearing in recent projects including series work for CBS, Amazon MGM, and national commercial campaigns across Canada and the U.S. She has worked in business development within a nonprofit in the film sector, supporting creatives in production and collaborating with industry professionals. Outside of film, she founded and operated a VR video gaming lounge in Ontario, developing the brand and customer experience from the ground up. Tiara holds a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Film and TV Production from Centennial College, a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from Carleton University, and a Certificate in Media and Communications from Algonquin College.
